Local, national and international animal welfare groups reach out to Mayday Pit Bull Rescue to save dogs that are not placeable elsewhere, because they know that Mayday will take on dogs that others won’t.  Dogs that are not medically, behaviorally otherwise placeable elsewhere often face death and have just one last chance - Mayday.

Because we believe that miracles can happen

Dogs often come to Mayday near death and with multiple extreme health & behavioral conditions.  Mayday coordinates medical and behavioral diagnostics to determine what is required to bring the dog back to health and its best quality of life.  Short term needs are then addressed, followed by long term plans addressing all aspects of the dog's health.

Because we believe there is a home for every dog

The ultimate goal of all of the work that Mayday does is to find a loving, forever home for every dog in its care.  Since its inception, Mayday has rescued, rehabilitated and rehomed over 350 dogs that were considered unplaceable. Mayday is committed to offering support for the lifetimes of dogs it places.
